Why I didn't go to Med School...
Original 1970 Dodge T/A Challenger. One of 2,399 produced. 340 cubic inch Six Pak Magnum engine - 350hp.
At the 1983 Mopar Nationals took 1st place in the Autocross and 2nd at the dragstrip in brackets (13.8 @ 104mph). Check the "Six Pak 2 Go" page.
12mpg city/18mpg hwy (in case you were wondering...). Passes anything but a gas station! Anybody have a line on 100 octane?! |

Pinewood Derby Dream!
Our son's Cub Scout Pinewood Derby car takes 1st Place for "Best Paint" in the Pikes Peak Council Jamboree District competition (4/02).
Dad wrangles a ride for him (and his sister) in a real Dodge Viper RT10! But since they can't drive, dad had to... :O) During a mometary laps of good judgement (or teenage digression) put down 15' of tire (vacant parking lot) before the car hit 30, then wisdom took over and got off it.
(Note to self: Before buying, set up line of credit to make tire payments!) |
Six Pak Attack!
The infamous Dodge T/A 340 Six Pak engine built "factory fast" stock. That's 3 x 2 barrel carburetors sitting atop the factory aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold swallowing 1,350 cubic feet of fuel & air/minute at wide open throttle. Beneath lies 10.5:1 compression by TRW w/chrome moly rings; 70cc chambers; shot peened, magnafluxed, sized & side polished rods; flat, back cut, 5 angled 2.02" narrow stem intake valves sliding through bronze wall guides; a Comp Cams HE268 cam, porting and flow work, stress relieved T/A block .030 over connected to a PTC 4,000 stall torque converter (www.ptcrace.com) & 727 auto with power out through a 4.56 Sure Grip.
